Lilledeshan Bose was born in the Philippines and moved to Southern California in 2003. Her works of fiction, essay and poetry have been published in magazines, books and newspapers in the United States, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Finland and China. In 2002, she published the teen novel “Una and Miguel: A Long Shot at Love.” She’s dabbled in film, music and performance poetry, and is a master danger-spooner.

Araceli Cruz is a native of East Los Angeles (Montebello to be exact), studied journalism at San Francisco State University and moved to Brooklyn two years ago. She’s been covering arts and culture for various magazines, dailies, and alternative weeklies in the United States for almost 10 years. She works for an alt-weekly in New York City, and has also been working on her multi-media artwork.

Brian Howe Battle understands that “Midwest” is shorthand for “Everything west of New York and east of Los Angeles.” He was born on in Chicago and thinks it’s the best (despite never really living anywhere else). Brian has written for NBC5’s Street Team, URChicago, writes about football here, other stuff here, and helps sell vintage t-shirts at TeeCycle.Org.
